About the Practitioner
Nicole has been a massage therapist and bodywork practitioner since 1993 and in private practice since 1999. She received her massage therapy credentials at the School of Healing Arts in Pacific Beach and continues taking advance courses locally at Mueller College of Holistic Massage and International Professional School of Bodywork College (IPSB) Nicole also holds an Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from Mesa College and became state licensed as a PTA in 1995. She still works part-time as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Recently Nicole’s educational focus has been Craniosacral Therapy (CST) and John F Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) techniques. Nicole has completed Craniosacral level I-III through Heartwood Institute of Integative Medicine (www.heartwoodintegrativemedicine.com ). Since 2005 Nicole has received over 160 hrs of advance courses in John F Barnes’ Myofascial Release. ( www.myofascialrelease.com
Other credentials and associations Nicole belongs to include; San Diego Referral Inc (SDRI) since 2001, a small business networking group (www.sdreferrals.com); Certified by National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) since 2004: member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) and certified by California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC).
Nicole practices what she preaches by incorporating a healthy lifestyle including a natural and nutritional diet, regular bodywork and acupuncture , reducing stress, physical activity and connecting with nature. . When she is not at work, she enjoys yoga, mountain biking, camping, hiking and running
Nicole believes in living life as active as possible and pain free as manageable and believes that bodywork can help accomplish these goals It is Nicole’s desire to help you achieve a balanced and pain free existence. Nicole’s philosophy is that the client is the expert of their own bodies and thru bodywork empowers the client to heal themselves.
